Answer text messages
Turn on Text messages, in Where people find it or under Phone answering. People who text the form’s number get your first text, then the form’s questions one at a time. The finished request follows the same path as a call.
Before you start
Texts go to the form’s phone number, so the form needs phone answering and a number first, and texts are answered once the form is published.
Turn on texts
- Open the form in Form Studio, then Where people find it. The same switch is under Phone answering.
- Under Text messages, choose Turn on texts.
- Edit “First text people get”. It is sent word for word to everyone who texts, and the form’s first question follows it.
What people see
The conversation asks the form’s questions and answers questions from your knowledge first. A person can stop at any time, and replying STOP stops texts until they send START.
Texts are included in every plan; there is no charge per message.
